The Gold Standard in Thermo-Composite
Sheet
Bulitex BX-Series is a multilayer woven thermoplastic composite that is reinforced with continuous (not chopped) glass fibers. This process creates a ballistic-grade material that can stop a .45 caliber bullet fired from twenty feet.
Our exclusive Bulitex process begins by weaving glass fibers into a flexible fabric that can be customized in thickness and width. Next, several layers of the woven glass are impregnated with tough polypropylene resin and then laminated together under heat and pressure, and the multilayer structure becomes rigid as it cools. Depending on the final thickness (from 0.100 to 0.200 inch), Bulitex is rolled into coils up to 600 feet long and up to 96 inches wide, or cut to length to suit a specific application.
In many applications, Bulitex has become the gold-standard for impact resistant panels. Its thermoplastic properties provide significant energy absorption, reducing cracks and punctures. In addition, Bulitex is:
• easy to cut, install and repair
• resistant to rot, corrosion and mildew
• not affected by cleaning chemicals
• completely recyclable
Standard Bulitex panels are available in several different forms and thicknesses to suit a variety of applications. For details, please click on the Specifications link on the left side of this page. |
